Hello there!
Welcome to the worship section of scucore.com. My name is Kurt Robinson and I'll be the worship coordinator for the 2008-2009 school year. I'm from Tulsa, Oklahoma, but now live off campus in the Alpha Omega house. I am a sophomore electrical engineering major here at Santa Clara. I grew up going to church very sporadically, but I really started hungering for the things of God when I got saved at 17. There have been some awesome people in my life that have really contributed to where I am in my walk with Jesus Christ. I find that by opening my bible daily I can truly feel God’s presence and grow in my faith, love and spiritual maturity.
I started learning guitar in 8th grade and haven’t put it down since. Although I originally started playing with motives of becoming the next guitar hero, God has shown me how He can use me to impact His Kingdom instead. Although I'm not a great singer, I think I will quote Mr. Tom Wong by saying, “Worship is about the heart, and not the sound.” Plus, it allows me to lean on God even harder for His support when I know I can’t do it myself. My desire is for the members of Core to grow by meeting God directly in worship.
